Not verifying the repairs
The purchase of Real Estate involves lots of paperwork and the coordination of different trades. The inspection and the report should not be taken lightly and should not be seeing as just one more item completed. In some cases, not following up with the inspection report and the recommendations, could put you in a situation, where you realize it only, when you have the keys on your hands, and all the responsibility is yours.
Once you close on the property you are attesting that all requirements were met and that you are satisfied to take control of the property. Nothing will discourage you more, than finding mistakes that could easily being avoided. Since all the communication between the Buyer and the Seller has to be made through the Real Estate agents, make sure that your Real Estate professional is aware of all the details related to the amendment to include any repair work or additional information requested on the report.
